Recent road trip - I was forced to take a break from work and ended up in San Antonio for a three nights the Austin for two nights…….both very good and very different!!
San Antonio - Went to Sea world, really nice meal at the river walk, remember the Alamo and finished at a mexican market.
Austin - Very funky, almost hippy like scene in SoCo (South Congress), went and seen the Texas state capitol building (former resident, Governor George W Bush!!) and seen UT campus where we almost knocked down the next Noble peace prize winner from Texas!!

So, bit slow in getting this blog going but we have all been extremely busy!! 3 months in now but it feels like we have stayed here a lot longer, we are getting so familiar with the place. Settled into a lovely house in Katy with a pool to keep the kids happy……OK, and me!!
As you can see, its Halloween. We have made a slight effort but some of the houses take things very serious!! We have also been advised that kids don't come in your house and they just say "Trick or Treat" then get candy……no jokes, no poems etc!!

Howdy y'all, finally signed the paper for our new house, it's amazing! We all just love it" and now we are about to start school tomorrow, today we went to we went to see the school and meet some other kids that are also new which was good the staff are really nice. XxxspeaksoonxxX

August 2012 - Just arrived
..........just arrived,
After flying across in business class we met our guide Mary who then took us to see our temporary apartment which turns out to be very nice and has a lovely atmosphere about it also the pool is really fun which explains why we've been in it almost everyday! We have been to a few shopping mall's, looked at houses, cars, visited our school and we were given a tour by a member of the staff ( its really nice ). Houston is lovely a lot more greenery than we thought it would have, very hot which means dad is sweating more even though his plaster came of yesterday so that makes things a lot easier for us all :)
